Adna Flood Relief is no longer active. For assistance or information, please call Susie Duren, Caseworker with Lewis County Long Term Recovery Organization at 360-520-0632.
On December 3, 2007, Lewis County in Southwest Washington State was devastated by a massive flood. President Bush declared the state a disaster area clearing the way for FEMA and other assistance. Sadly, this help fell short in helping those affected by the flood to regain what has been lost. Our area was again flooded on January 7, 2009.The purpose of this site is to inform flood victims in Adna and the surrounding areas of available help and information. It will also let those outside of our world know what has happened and how they can help with donations of cash and "stuff" as well as volunteering their time and equipment.
Please check our Projects page to see some of the things we're doing to help our community, including assisting one farm to purchase organic dairy cows.
If you haven't already been in contact with Lewis County Long Term Recovery Organization, now would be a good time. Visit them at http://www.lewiscoltro.org/ or call them at 360-740-8323. If you flooded during the January, 2009 flood event, you can look to them for help. If you were fortunate enough to have received no damage but want to help, they will put you on their list of volunteers and find a job for you.
